High School Math Tutor (IN-HOME and IN-PERSON)

Prep Academy Tutors is a private, in-home tutoring company that provides flexible and personalized tutoring programs to students. We specialize in a wide range of subject areas and work with students from ages four to twenty.

We are committed to helping students reach their full academic potential through individualized instruction and support. We hire only the best educators, including certified teachers and individuals currently pursuing their Bachelor of Education. Our tutors are compensated at rates significantly higher than the industry average.

Prep Academy Tutors is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable High School Math Tutor to provide personalized academic support to students in Grades 9–12.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide individualized mathematics instruction based on the Manitoba high school curriculum.
• Support students in understanding key mathematical concepts, improving problem-solving skills, and building confidence.
• Assist students with topics such as algebra, functions, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus, and other high school mathematics courses.
• Develop and provide supplemental assignments, practice problems, and learning materials to reinforce classroom instruction.
• Provide remedial support to students who are struggling, as well as enrichment opportunities for students looking to excel.
• Help students prepare for quizzes, tests, exams, and major assessments.
• Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement.

We are looking for teachers or soon-to-be teachers who meet the following criteria:

• Strong knowledge of high school mathematics and the Manitoba curriculum.
• Experience teaching or tutoring high school mathematics is considered an asset.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about helping students succeed.
• Ability to explain complex mathematical concepts in a clear and approachable way.
• Committed to providing excellent customer service.
• Enjoy working with students and families.
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

• You hold a registration in good standing with the Manitoba Teachers' Society.
• You are qualified to teach in a Canadian province or territory outside of Manitoba.
• You are qualified to teach in the United States.
• You are a current teacher candidate pursuing a Bachelor of Education.
• You have experience as a lecturer or course instructor at an accredited Canadian university or college.
