Procurement Officer

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is one of the largest, most complex agencies in the state, and has approximately 17,000 employees. It is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all North Carolinians, providing human service needs for special populations including individuals who are deaf, blind, developmentally disabled, and mentally ill, and helping poor North Carolinians achieve economic independence.

Recruitment Range: $47,703.00 - $83,479.00

• Demonstrated experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with personnel and/or vendors.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience. 
• Thorough knowledge of accepted practices, principles, methods and procedures for governmental or private sector procurement.
• Technical expertise required in-order to write effective solicitations to procure goods and services.

Necessary Special Requirement Completion of North Carolina Contract Management Certification Program within one year of hire into this position
