We’re looking for people who:

  • Act with urgency, accountability, and purpose

  • Deliver high quality work with consistency and pride

  • Collaborate effectively and elevate those around them

  • Focus on outcomes that drive impact and growth

A finance professional who brings strong financial modeling, credit judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financing structures clearly.

You will support the underwriting, structuring, closing, and ongoing management of asset-backed credit facilities for institutional borrowers, including private equity, venture capital, and alternative asset managers. You will evaluate financing opportunities secured by diversified collateral such as fund interests, subscription commitments, investment portfolios, special purpose vehicles, business development companies, and middle-market loan assets.

You are comfortable working across relationship managers, credit officers, legal counsel, and operations partners to evaluate transactions and support them from initial underwriting through closing and ongoing portfolio management.

  • Evaluate new specialty lending opportunities from initial screening through approval and closing.
  • Analyze borrower and sponsor strength, collateral quality, cash flows, leverage, liquidity, repayment sources, and structural protections.
  • Build and maintain transaction models incorporating borrowing-base mechanics, advance rates, eligibility criteria, concentration limits, coverage tests, covenants, and bank return metrics.
  • Perform base, downside, and severe-downside stress tests to assess collateral performance, covenant headroom, and repayment capacity.
  • Recommend transaction structures and risk mitigants consistent with the bank’s credit standards and risk appetite.
  • Prepare clear, concise credit memoranda describing the borrower, transaction structure, collateral, financial analysis, key risks, mitigants, and recommendation.
  • Present transactions to credit committee and respond to questions, conditions, and follow-up requests.
  • Lead financial and collateral diligence, including review of portfolio data, historical performance, valuation practices, organizational documents, and material contracts.
  • Validate source data and reconcile model assumptions and outputs to financial statements, collateral reports, and transaction documents.
  • Partner with internal and external counsel to review credit agreements, security documents, amendments, and closing deliverables.
  • Confirm that approved economic terms, collateral protections, reporting requirements, and remedies are accurately reflected in documentation.
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders, clients, and counsel to complete closing conditions and support timely funding.
  • Monitor assigned relationships through covenant testing, borrowing-base reviews, collateral surveillance, risk-rating assessments, and periodic credit reviews.
  • Evaluate amendments, waivers, extensions, and incremental financing requests, escalating material risks when appropriate.
  • Track market and portfolio developments that may affect collateral values, liquidity, or repayment prospects.
  • Maintain accurate credit files, models, approval records, and monitoring reports.

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in specialty finance, asset-backed lending, structured credit, leveraged finance, commercial banking, private credit, or a related underwriting role.
  • Strong financial statement analysis, cash-flow modeling, credit underwriting, and risk-assessment skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and demonstrated ability to work with large collateral datasets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing decision-ready credit materials.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines.
