Responsibilities

→Provide comprehensive care to hospitalized patients as part of the Infectious Disease team.
→Perform advanced patient assessments, develop differential diagnoses, and establish individualized plans of care.
→Order and interpret laboratory testing, imaging, and other diagnostic studies as appropriate.
→Collaborate closely with Infectious Disease physicians, APPs, hospitalists, nursing, and other interdisciplinary care teams.
→Manage treatment plans and prescribe medications and therapies within scope of practice.
→Monitor patient progress and adjust plans of care based on clinical findings and response to treatment.
→Provide education and guidance to patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and ongoing care.
→Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and the education of students when applicable.
→Practice with a high level of clinical autonomy while having the support of an experienced Infectious Disease team.
