We are seeking an Electronics / Communications Technician Instructor to join our Defence training team, delivering highly specialised technical training to Australian Defence Force personnel.

Drawing on your technical expertise and operational experience, you'll deliver training across naval communications systems, electronic equipment and command-and-control systems using a combination of face-to-face instruction, eLearning platforms, emulators and advanced training devices. This is an opportunity to transition your technical knowledge into a rewarding role where you'll directly contribute to Defence capability, workforce readiness and mission success.

You'll work closely with trainees, Defence stakeholders and fellow instructors while also contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of training programs used across the Defence sector.

As an Electronics / Communications Technician Instructor, I will:

  • Deliver classroom, practical and blended learning programs covering communications, electronic and command-and-control systems.
  • Facilitate assessments, monitor student progress and provide coaching to support successful training outcomes.
  • Utilise emulators, part-task trainers and eLearning solutions to deliver engaging and effective learning experiences.
  • Provide pre-course preparation, post-course support and associated training administration activities.
  • Maintain and improve training materials to ensure alignment with Defence learning requirements and operational outcomes.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert, supporting the continuous improvement of training delivery and courseware development.
