Personal Care Worker

We are currently seeking compassionate and reliable Personal Care Workers to join our team at BaptistCare Karingal on a casual basis, working night shifts from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys night work and wants to provide quality care and support to residents throughout the night, helping them feel safe, comfortable and well cared for.

Working under the direction of a Residential Care and Services Manager, you’ll deliver hands-on personal care that’s guided by each resident’s individual care plan.

Every day looks a little different, but the focus is always the same: the person in front of you.

• Deliver personal care in line with each resident’s care plan, supporting their goals and daily needs
• Listen to residents and take the time to understand what matters most to them
• Accurately record consumer outcomes in BaptistCare systems
• Build respectful relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders
• Contribute to continuous improvement across the home
• Report workplace and consumer risks to management promptly and appropriately
• Attend scheduled training to maintain your skills and compliance

You're compassionate, reliable, and take pride in providing quality care. You're comfortable working independently when required while knowing the importance of teamwork and communication.
To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent

• Experience in residential aged care (preferred)
• Availability and willingness to work night shifts from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am.
• Flexible and positive — comfortable working across a variety of shifts
• Genuine passion for caring for older people and supporting their wellbeing
• Honest, reliable, and attentive to detail
• Strong team player with the ability to maintain confidentiality
• National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Proof of working rights in Australia
• Willingness to complete a medical assessment to confirm physical capability for the role
