Job Title: Senior Buyer Manufacturing & Laboratory (m/f/d) Location: Delft or Maastricht, Netherlands Excellent manufacturing performance starts long before production begins. At dsm-firmenich, you will operate at the intersection of Procurement and Manufacturing, where supplier partnerships, sourcing execution and investment decisions directly support operational performance and sustainable growth. As Senior Buyer Manufacturing & Laboratory (m/f/d), you will lead indirect procurement projects across Opex and Capex categories, delivering sourcing initiatives, supporting small to mid-sized investment projects, and creating tangible value across multiple manufacturing and laboratory sites. Your key responsibilities * Act as the key procurement partner for Manufacturing and Laboratory sites, ensuring strong stakeholder engagement and seamless collaboration across functions. * Develop and execute local and regional sourcing strategies for Indirect Manufacturing, Opex and Capex categories in close partnership with Category Managers. * Lead end-to-end sourcing activities including supplier selection, tendering, negotiations, contracting and supplier management, delivering sustainable value and cost savings. * Build strategic supplier partnerships that support operational excellence, innovation, sustainability and business continuity. * Drive compliance, contract management, Procure-to-Pay (P2P) excellence and transparent savings reporting while continuously improving procurement processes. * Facilitate structured decision-making, stakeholder alignment and effective communication, working autonomously in a dynamic environment. You bring * A bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field combined with at least 5 years of experience in Procurement, Manufacturing or a technical business environment; project management experience is an advantage. * Strong communication skills in Dutch and English, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels. * A connector mindset, bringing together stakeholders, priorities and processes to achieve shared business objectives. * Strategic thinking, creativity and a continuous improvement mindset, enabling you to identify opportunities and drive innovation. * Proven negotiation, stakeholder management and commercial acumen, combined with a strong focus on delivering results in complex environments. * Resilience, emotional intelligence and an entrepreneurial spirit, allowing you to thrive in a fast-paced and constantly evolving business landscape.
