Job Description

CrossBoundary Advisory is recruiting two Associate / Senior Associate Consultants to support the preparation and launch of a multi-country blended finance platform for regenerative agriculture and landscape resilience in Sub-Saharan Africa. The platform combines a commercial investment vehicle with dedicated technical assistance and catalytic capital windows and is supported by Green Climate Fund project preparation funding.

We seek candidates with experience across finance, strategy, investment advisory and nature-based solutions in emerging markets. The consultants will support the GCF Funding Proposal, investment vehicle structuring, government and stakeholder engagement, fundraising preparation and early pipeline development. The level of appointment will reflect the candidate’s experience.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred, or another relevant advanced degree or professional qualification.

  • 2-7 years of relevant advisory, operating or investment experience, including strategy or development consulting, agribusiness or enterprise operations, development finance, private capital or blended finance.

  • Strong quantitative and financial modelling skills, with the ability to structure problems, assess scenarios and translate analysis into clear recommendations.

  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to produce concise, investor-grade materials.

  • Experience engaging government counterparts and convening multi-stakeholder processes, ideally in Sub-Saharan Africa.

  • Experience coordinating multiple partners and workstreams against fixed deadlines.

  • High tolerance for ambiguity and the ability to work effectively in a changing context.

  • Self-starter who is humble, collaborative and passionate about mobilising capital for nature and underserved markets.

  • Excellent presentation and relationship-management skills across diverse audiences.

  • Willingness to travel regularly to participating countries.

  • Fluency in English required. Working French is preferred.

  • Experience with GCF or other climate funds, agricultural value chains, nature-based solutions, carbon markets or fund structuring is highly valued.
