Security Officer - Albany, NY

We are currently hiring Security Officers for multiple openings throughout the Albany area. Pay rates range from $18.50 to $20.00 per hour, depending on the position and schedule. These positions are ideal for dependable, professional individuals who are comfortable working independently, maintaining a visible security presence, and adapting to a variety of work environments. Available Openings Security Officer Pay Rate: $18.50/hour Available Schedule (choose one): • Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-10:00 AM (20 hours/week) OR • Monday-Friday, 4:00 PM-8:00 PM (20 hours/week) Security Officer - Overnight Pay Rate: $19.20/hour Schedule: • Monday-Friday, 9:00 PM-3:00 AM (30 hours/week) Security Officer Schedule: • Wednesday & Thursday, 8:30 AM-8:30 PM at $20.00/hour (24 hours/week) • Friday, 6:30 AM-3:30 PM at $19.00/hour (9 hours/week) ________________________________________ What You'll Do • Maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and property. • Conduct foot or vehicle patrols as required by the assigned location. • Monitor access points and observe site activity. • Respond appropriately to security concerns, emergencies, and unusual situations. • Complete daily activity logs, reports, and other required documentation. • Provide excellent customer service while enforcing site policies and procedures. • Communicate effectively with site personnel, visitors, and emergency responders when necessary. • Utilize various technologies, including computers, mobile devices, cameras, and access control systems. • Remain alert and attentive while working independently or as part of a team. ________________________________________ What We're Looking For • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred. • Strong communication and customer service skills. • Reliable, professional, and dependable attendance. • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions. • Comfortable using technology and completing written reports. • Strong observation skills and attention to detail. • Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies or challenging situations. • Reliable transportation to and from assigned work locations. • Previous security experience is preferred but not required. Additional Requirement for Select Positions One of the available positions requires operating a client vehicle while on duty.
