Preconstruction Engineer I

Education: Highschool Diploma, Technical Associate, or a related experience

Experience: Some previous experience in construction or internships is preferred but not required. Knowledge of construction programs like Bluebeam studio, AutoCAD, and Revit are beneficial but not required.

Travel: 25-50% depending on business needs

Work Schedule: Typical work hours are between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. Overtime may be required.

• →Assist in interpreting construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
• →Participate in pre-bid meetings.
• →Generate and distribute meeting minutes.
• →Keep all stakeholders informed of changes and modifications made throughout the construction process.
• →Provide support to field personnel during construction, ensuring design intent is accurately translated to the field. May be required to work on-site as needed.
• →Attend site meetings and visits to document existing conditions.
• →Assist and collaborate with the engineering team in developing designs to meet project goals.
• →Support MEP coordination with other trade contractors.
• →Aid in the construction as-built and documentation process.
• →Maintain logs, responsible for the submittal and RFI process, and report updates to senior engineers and project managers.
• →Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
• →This role will receive tasks assigned by the Senior Preconstruction Engineer and Preconstruction Manager.
