• →Understanding of pulmonary function laboratory operations. 
• →Demonstrates proficiency in patient assessment, clinical aerosol medication delivery and emergency management procedures, related to performance of diagnostic pulmonary function testing.
• →Calibration, operation and performance of diagnostic pulmonary function testing equipment.
• →Basic computer skills, Epic EMR for documentation and scanning reports.
• →Knowledge of accepted standards, policies, procedures, staff responsibilities and instrumentation related to provision of diagnostic pulmonary function testing.
• →Performs and documentation of 6 minute walk tests.
• →Patient/ Family Education as related to PFT testing, medication delivery systems, devices and Disease state management.

*Office practices in accordance with CDC guidelines for infection control and maintenance.

• Associate of Applied Science in Respiratory Therapy from a Respiratory Therapy education program accredited by CoARC required.  
• New York State Respiratory Therapy Technician or Respiratory Therapist license required.  
• Current BLS through the American Heart Association.
• Basic computer skills. 
• 3+ years of experience preferred.
