STEAM/Digital Design Teacher

We are looking for a Middle School Digital Design/STEAM Teacher for a bilingual international school in Shanghai’s Pudong district. This position is available from the upcoming 2027/28 academic year in August 2027.

Job Responsibilities

• Teach digital design and STEAM to middle school students within the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP)
• Guide students through the design cycle, including inquiry, developing ideas, creating solutions and evaluation
• Develop practical projects that integrate science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics
• Build students’ digital skills, creativity, collaboration and problem-solving abilities
• Support students in documenting design decisions, testing prototypes and refining solutions
• Assess learning using MYP criteria and provide constructive feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and promote safe, responsible use of tools and technology

• Bachelor’s degree
• Recognised teaching qualification
• Previous teaching experience in China
• Strong knowledge of digital design and STEAM teaching approaches
• Ability to plan practical, inquiry-based learning within the IB MYP framework
• Strong communication, collaboration and classroom management skills
