Household Manager / Family Assistant

• →Build and maintain organizational systems throughout the home — this is a priority
• →Perform daily resets: dishes, surfaces, tidying high-traffic areas
• →Prep the home before Friday cleaners arrive
• →Coordinate donation drop-offs
• →Assist with holiday prep: gift wrapping for a large team (~60–80 people), holiday décor takedown
• →Assist with packing for a month-long summer camp
• →Unpack and resettle the home after family travel
• →Perform annual/ongoing tasks: change batteries, test smoke and CO2 detectors

• General deep cleaning as needed in areas the weekly cleaner does not cover (pantry, refrigerator and oven)
• Change HVAC filters quarterly
• Tackle whole-home organizational projects over time, including hanging artwork and pictures

• Maintain and update the shared household list in the Skylight app, and handle the in-store grocery shopping
• Restock pantry and fridge with agreed-upon staples
• Handle Amazon returns, dry cleaning pickup, and other recurring errands
• Manage mail, incoming packages, and box breakdown

• Prepare approximately 3 full family dinners per week — ready to reheat (casseroles, lasagna, baked dishes, etc.)
• Batch-prepare grab-and-go snacks and lunch items (suggestions welcome)
• Clean the kitchen after meal prep sessions

• Wash, fold, and put away laundry for the adults (the kids manage their own)
• Rotate bed linens and towels for the full household weekly
• Occasional ironing or steaming as needed
• Keep the laundry area tidy and well-stocked

• Restock dog and cat food as needed
• Midday dog walk when schedule allows (not a primary duty — kids walk the dog morning and evening)

• Provide light supervision of the kids when they're home from school (they're comfortable being home alone)
• Occasional last-minute kid-related errands (grabbing something needed for sports or school)

• Be present and available when contractors, repair technicians, or service providers visit
• Research and coordinate quotes for home repairs as needed
• Be on-site for HVAC service visits (approximately every two years)
