We’re looking for a Workspace Lead (England) to join our Property & Workspace function. In this role, you’ll lead day-to-day workspace operations across the England property portfolio, managing facilities services, building operations, supplier performance and local service delivery. You’ll help ensure our workspaces operate safely, efficiently and consistently, while supporting colleague experience, business continuity and operational resilience across the region.

As Workspace Lead (England), you’ll be responsible for the operational delivery, performance and continuous improvement of workspace environments across the England property portfolio.
Operating within the Property & Workspace function and reporting to the Head of Workspace Operations, you’ll provide regional leadership of site operations, ensuring facilities management services, building operations and workspace support functions are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with organisational standards, the Target Operating Model and central governance frameworks.
You’ll manage service partners and local operational delivery across the region, ensuring workspaces support colleague experience, business continuity and day-to-day operational effectiveness. Acting as the primary regional point of contact for operational matters, you’ll work closely with stakeholders, service providers and central support teams to resolve issues, manage risks and maintain safe, compliant and efficient workplace environments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading operational delivery of workspace and facilities services across the England portfolio, ensuring services are safe, compliant, effective and aligned to agreed standards
- Supporting business continuity planning and coordinating local responses to facilities-related incidents, building disruption or emergency events
- Managing day-to-day relationships with FM suppliers, contractors and service partners, monitoring performance against agreed service levels, KPIs, contractual obligations and organisational standards
- Acting as a key point of contact for workspace operations across the region, building strong relationships with site leads, business stakeholders and local leadership teams
- Monitoring and reporting on regional operational performance, including service quality, supplier performance, compliance, incidents, risks, workspace standards and improvement actions
- Supporting workspace projects, moves, refurbishments and operational change activity, ensuring operational readiness and smooth transition into business-as-usual delivery
Regular travel across the England estate will be required as part of this role.
We focus on essential capabilities and encourage applications from candidates whose experience may look different, but who bring strong facilities management judgement, supplier oversight and practical operational delivery experience.
You’ll have:
- Experience managing facilities or workspace operations within structured, corporate multi-site environment
- Experience overseeing service delivery, supplier performance, maintenance programmes and operational standards
- Strong understanding of facilities management operations, statutory compliance and UK workplace safety requirements
- Experience in commercial governance, cost control, financial assurance or performance roles
- Experience supporting operational risk management, incident response, business continuity or resilience activity
- Proven stakeholder management and engagement skills across multiple locations and business areas
- The ability to use operational data, reporting and performance insight to support decision-making and continuous improvement
- Experience supporting projects, moves, refurbishments or workspace change activity
The following are desirable:
- Experience working within regulated industries
- Experience managing outsourced facilities management contracts
- Experience supporting workspace transformation, estate optimisation or operational improvement initiatives
- Relevant professional membership or qualifications, such as IWFM, RICS, IOSH or NEBOSH
