1to1 is currently recruiting for a part-time Communicative Disorders Assistant for Brampton, Etobicoke, and Mississauga to support our Community Outreach Stroke Rehabilitation (COSR) program under secure Ministry funding. This program is a unique opportunity to work in partnership with William Osler Hospital and Central West HCCSS. The successful candidate will provide treatment to stroke patients in their homes. 1to1 Rehab was awarded Central West HCCSS Quality Award 2019 with William Osler Hospital, Central West HCCSS, and West GTA Stroke Network.

- Etobicoke
- Mississauga
Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting clients with challenges in speech sound production, fluency, and interactive communication
- Actively engaging the client and caregivers to address communication goals
- Providing evidence-based therapy intervention, and tracking progress
- Supporting the recommendations made by supervising SLP regarding speech and language programming, accommodations, resources, and modifications for the client and their families
- Addressing home safety, ADLs, and equipment with links to community
- Evaluating the effectiveness of the intervention, response, and progress toward goal attainment
Qualifications:
- Communicative Disorders Assistant Certificate or other related fields of education.
- 1-2 years of experience is preferred, but new grads also welcome to apply
- Demonstrated experience working with adults
- Must commit a minimum of 3 days per week
- Ability to build strong relationships with families and provide support, feedback, and coaching.
- Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication (both written and verbal) skills.
- Experience providing therapy in person and virtually.
- Have access to a vehicle and a valid driver's license
- Completion of a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Proof of professional liability insurance
