The person hired for the position of ELASTOMER GRINDING OPERATOR

Full- time
Starting Rate: $22.95 + DIFFERENTIAL SHIFT (IF APPLICABLE)

Collaborate effectively with production team members to achieve safety, quality, and productivity objectives.
Support manufacturing operations by executing processes and initiatives that drive product quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Develop technical knowledge and operational expertise to support training and mentoring opportunities as experience is gained.
Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities to support production and engineering objectives.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute ideas through continuous improvement and employee suggestion programs.
Follow established work instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety requirements while maintaining product quality standards.

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications.

High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start)

Requirements

Experience working in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment
Training or experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
Experience participating in Kaizen events or continuous improvement initiatives
Previous Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) and/or forklift operating experience
Experience operating grinding, extrusion, or similar manufacturing equipment
Experience following standard operating procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements in a manufacturing environment
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
