Technical Service Assistant (Blood-taking)

• Perform blood-taking and related duties, such as taking blood specimen, preparing specimen labels and blood-taking materials
• Perform accurate patient identification and sample labelling with patients' particulars and record keeping
• Ensure proper storage and transfer of blood samples to Pathology for analysis
• Maintain necessary materials for phlebotomy procedures at blood trolley and station at all times
• Practise the best method for drawing blood samples for different patients, e.g. neonates, elderly, oncology patients, etc. 
• Night shift duties required
• Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor(s)

• Form 5 or above
• Holder of Fundamental Venipuncture Techniques for Phlebotomists Certificate or completion of phlebotomist training
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience is preferred
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Computer literate
