Senior ROTC Instructor (Grades: 9-12)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BASIC FUNCTIONS:

• • Serve as the Senior Army Instructor (SAI) and Senior instructional leader
• • Implement the Program of Instruction (POI) as outlined by the US Army Cadet Command.
• • Maintain proficiency in the JROTC curriculum by attending JSOCC and completing distance learning courses as required.
• • Strong commitment to supporting and attending JCLC (Summer Camp); participation is required.
• • Become proficient in the use of JUMS, JCIMS and other cadet command platforms and systems.
• • Administer and manage the JROTC program IAW CCR 145-2 and CCR 145-8-3, Army regulations and district policy.
• • Actively recruit students to enroll in JROTC to maintain or exceed enrollment requirements.
• • Receive, store, safeguard, issue and account for all government property assigned.
• • Ensure that JROTC facilities provided are adequate and meet military requirements.
• • Have a operational knowledge of administrative and supply operations.
• • Supervise and support Army instructors (AI’s) assigned and provide additional duties as required.
• • Participate in all functions directed by the Director of Army Instruction (DAI).
• • Ensure instructional responsibilities are equitably distributed among all instructors and that instruction is delivered daily in accordance with the appropriate LET level
• • Develop and implement public affairs initiatives that promote awareness and understanding of the JROTC program among schools, school districts, community organizations, and civic groups
• • Ensure all reports requested by the DAI are turned on time.
• • Attend all SAI meetings scheduled by the DAI.
• • Ensure that you and the AIs do not coach sports or similar activities outside the JROTC Department without prior approval from the Brigade commander
• • Perform all related duties as assigned by the principal or DAI.
