Materials Handler I

"APPLICANTS/ASSOCIATES TENTATIVELY SELECTED FOR A TDP WILL BE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT TO URINALYSIS TO SCREEN FOR ILLEGAL DRUG USE PRIOR TO APPOINTMENT/SELECTION."


Under designated supervision at a warehouse management system (WMS) distribution center, performs a variety of repetitive warehousing duties in either receiving, storage, order selection or shipping. Specific instructions are given on how to perform assigned tasks. May use a VDT/pc inquiry screen in performance of work.

Completion of high school or the equivalent. Creditable job-related experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a 9-months for 9-months basis. Six months of progressively responsible general experience.


If a sufficient number of qualified candidates do not apply, the minimum qualifications may be lowered without reposting. MONDAY-FRIDAY SCHEDULE 0730-1630 (430 P.M.) SOME OVERTIME, WEEKENDS AND/OR NIGHTS, MAY VARY.
 

Team player, able to effectively work with others toward a common goal.  Excellent Communications skills.  Recognize and report equipment problems and or safety hazards.  Multi-tasking – able to prioritize assignments and manage multiple diverse tasks simultaneously.  Flexibility - willing and able to adapt to changing priorities and to work overtime, weekends and nights when situations warrant.  Must be reliable, customer driven and motivated.
