Atrium Health Musculoskeletal Institute (MSKI) – Piedmont Orthopedics is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant) to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to practice in a highly collaborative, community-based orthopedic setting while being part of a large, comprehensive musculoskeletal network.
Piedmont Orthopedics is a well-respected practice comprised of board-certified orthopedic surgeons and a dynamic team of APPs. This position supports expansion efforts across the northeast Charlotte metro areas, including Huntersville, Concord, and Kannapolis.
As part of Atrium Health MSKI, you will join a nationally recognized musculoskeletal network that includes:
Orthopedic surgical subspecialists
Non-operative Sports Medicine physicians
MSK Physiatry specialists
A robust sports medicine outreach program
Atrium Health employs 100+ Athletic Trainers across the region, supporting community partnerships with high school and collegiate athletics.
Responsibilities

Function as an independent APP provider with your own clinic schedule

Serve as First Assist in the Operating Room

Participate in unassigned office call rotation and assist with call coverage

Perform inpatient rounding

Collaborate with physicians across multiple specialties including:

Support a Sports Medicine surgeon and related patient care needs

Partner with outreach Athletic Trainers for community and sports coverage
Orthopedic Urgent Care shifts
Sideline coverage for high school and community athletic programs
Sports Medicine and special event coverage
