We’re seeking a Head of Accounting Execution to own all behind-the-scenes accounting production at Accruity. We’re separating delivery from execution: our Senior Managers are moving into a dedicated client-delivery role, and you’ll own the team that does the work behind them — closing books, preparing deliverables, and handing off review-ready files. Today we close 90 clients across 300+ QBO instances, and we add roughly 6 clients and 15 instances every month. Your mandate is to build the execution machine that absorbs that growth — scaling both our onshore team and our offshore partnership — while holding the line on accuracy and close timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Accounting Execution Function – Lead all behind-the-scenes accounting work — monthly close, reconciliations, and deliverable prep — across the full client base, handing off completed, review-ready files to the Client Delivery team.
  • Lead & Scale the Team – Directly lead 3 Accounting Managers, 2 Accounting Staff, and an Overseas Manager running 8+ offshore FTEs — recruiting, structuring, and developing the team as client volume grows.
  • Own Multi-Entity Close at Scale – Maintain and close books for 90+ clients across 300+ QBO instances on a reliable monthly cadence, with a system built to absorb roughly 6 new clients and 15 new instances per month.
  • Build the Production System – Standardize close workflows, work papers, and quality controls across our stack (QBO, Xenett, Mango, 90.io) so output is consistent, on-time, and audit-ready regardless of who does the work.
  • Scale the Offshore Engine – Continue expanding our offshore partnership toward unlimited capacity, keeping the W2 team focused on final review and clean handoff to Client Delivery.
  • Own Throughput & Quality KPIs – Be accountable for close timelines, accuracy, and capacity — escalating risk early and keeping delivery on schedule as the firm scales.
  • 8+ years in accounting with proven experience scaling and leading a sizable accounting team (controller, global controller, or senior accounting management background).
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining and closing books for multiple entities at volume on a recurring monthly cycle.
  • Track record building and standardizing close processes, work papers, and quality controls that scale.
  • Experience managing blended onshore and offshore (or outsourced) accounting teams.
  • Deep QBO expertise and comfort with a modern accounting tech stack (Xenett, Mango, 90.io); openness to AI-driven tooling a plus.
  • CPA preferred; real estate and multi-entity accounting experience a strong plus.
  • A systems-first operator who thrives on throughput, accuracy, and operational discipline over client-facing relationship management.
