Licensed Veterinary Technician – Urgent Care | Bellevue, KY
Quick Summary
Veterinary Technician – Urgent Care Bellevue,
You've spent years building your skills and learning what matters to you at work. As your career grows, what you want from your job can change too.
Are you getting to use the skills you've built? Are you doing medicine you're proud of? Do you feel good about the people you work alongside? Does your job work for the life you have outside of it?
If those questions give you something to think about, AcutePet Urgent Care may be worth a conversation.
You'll be hands-on with urgent care patients—running diagnostics, taking radiographs, administering medications and treatments, monitoring anesthesia and recovery, and watching closely for changes that need the veterinarian's attention.
We see same-day appointments, call-ahead patients, and walk-ins as capacity allows, so the cases and priorities will change throughout the day. You'll work alongside the veterinarian and the rest of the hospital team to determine what each patient needs and keep their care moving.
You'll also have medical leadership close by. Each hospital has a Managing DVM, and AcutePet's medical standards and protocols are led by Chief Medical Officer John Anastasio, DVM, DACVECC, a board-certified specialist in Emergency and Critical Care.
Requirements
~1 min readPrevious veterinary clinical experience is required, and urgent care or emergency experience is a plus. You should be comfortable with the clinical skills described above, able to recognize when something changes with a patient, and know when to get the veterinarian involved. We expect you to pay attention to the details, speak up when something doesn't look right, and ask questions when you're unsure.
Reliable and punctual attendance is an essential part of this role. We staff each shift around the people needed to care for our patients, so your team needs to be able to count on you to be there, prepared, and ready to work.
Our hospitals are open seven days a week from 10 a.m.–10 p.m. Team members need to be available for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. There are no overnight shifts.
