JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: Y-MD-3497471 Profession: Physician Specialty: Gastroenterology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Potsdam, NY Service Setting: Hospital Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: Dec 07, 2026 – Jun 07, 2027 Clinical Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8am – 4pm On-Call Shift Schedule: Mon – Sun, 24-hour call PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults Patient Volume/Census: 15-20 patients per day Case Mix: General Gastroenterology FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: Yes REQUIRED PROCEDURES PEG Tube Placement Esophageal Dilation Upper Endoscopy (EGD) Lower Endoscopy (Colonoscopy) JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active NY State License Board: Board Certified in Gastroenterology Certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA or RQI) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in the last 2 years Other Qualifications: Epic experience required; no residents or fellows DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide 24-hour call coverage including office and procedure duties Perform upper and lower endoscopies (EGD, colonoscopy) Perform PEG tube placement and esophageal dilation Manage inpatient and outpatient GI consultations Complete documentation and administrative tasks
