JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Hematology & Oncology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Seaside, OR Service Setting: Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: Dec 01, 2026 – Ongoing Shift Schedule: Preferrably Tue-Fri, 8a-5p or 730a-530p; 3 days per week Reason for Coverage: Vacancy - Long-Term Permanent Search Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Agency PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Volume: 10 patients/day Case Mix: Hematology/Oncology FACILITY INFORMATION EMR: Epic Specialty Backup Available: Yes, including NP, RN, social work, dietician, palliative care, nurse navigator Support Staff: RNs: 6, MAs: 2, PA/NP: 1, Office Staff: 6 (strong, experienced team of NP & RNs; Dedicated nurse manager to the oncology team) PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC/BE License: Active OR license or willing to obtain one DEA: Required Certification: BLS PREFERRED Experience: Bone marrow biopsies Other Qualifications: EMR proficiency, team collaboration Duties & Responsibilities Provide outpatient hematology/oncology care to adult patients Integrate with infusion center for chemotherapy and immunotherapy management Perform bone marrow biopsies as needed and preferred Collaborate with a strong team of NPs, RNs, and support staff including social work and palliative care Participate in multidisciplinary care coordination with dietician and oncology nurse navigator
