JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: Y-PA-3457810 Profession: Physician Assistant Specialty: Hematology/Oncology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Providence, RI Service Setting: Outpatient/Inpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: Nov 23, 2026 – May 24, 2027 Clinical Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8a – 4p Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Volume/Census: Outpatient: 18-22 patients/day; Inpatient: varies based on consults Rounding: Yes, 1-2 hours daily FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Meditech (20% EMR, 80% paper) Specialty Backup Available: Hematology/Oncology onsite PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Temporary Privileges Available: Yes REQUIRED PROCEDURES Biopsies as needed JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active RI license (or willingness to obtain); DEA; CSR DEA: Yes, required Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Hematology/Oncology experience, or completion of a hem/onc rotation as a new graduate DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide full-time Hematology/Oncology care in a mix of outpatient and inpatient settings. Round daily on inpatients for 1-2 hours based on consult volume. See 18-22 outpatient patients daily. Perform biopsies as needed. Collaborate with on-site Hematology/Oncology specialists.
