JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: L-MD-86034 Profession: Physician Specialty: Urgent Care Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Eureka, MO 63025 Service Setting: Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8a – 8p | Sat – Sun, 9a – 5p (moving to 12-hour shifts on weekends) Reason for Coverage: Extra Volume Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Vendor PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults and Pediatrics Average Daily Volume: 36-48 patients/day Case Mix: Urgent Care: Minor procedures, wound care, X-rays, EKGs FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic Office Equipment Available: X-ray, EKG Support Staff: MAs: 1, Office Staff: 1 PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: No Temporary Privileges Available: No JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Eligible (BC if within 5 years of residency) – ABMS or AOB board certification/eligibility in FM, EM, or Med/Peds required Licenses: Active Missouri (MO) license required Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) Experience: Minimum 50 patient encounters in the last 12 months with experience correlating to privilege requested; comfortable with minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints), reading EKGs and X-rays Other Qualifications: EMR proficiency (Epic comfort a plus); Willing to work independently with MAs, scribes, and rad techs; Must commit to at least 6 shifts per month (12-hour shifts); availability for weekends and weekdays Duties & Responsibilities Provide comprehensive urgent care services to patients of all ages (adults and pediatrics) in a fast-paced outpatient setting Perform minor procedures including suturing, wound care, incision and drainage, splinting, and casting Interpret X-rays and EKGs to diagnose and manage acute conditions Work collaboratively with support staff (medical assistants, scribes, radiology technicians) to ensure efficient patient flow Commit to a minimum of 6 shifts per month, including weekend and 12-hour shift availability as scheduled
