Advantia’s Maternal Fetal Medicine Department is seeking a full-time Sonographer to out of our Kenmore office. To be successful as a sonographer, you should have excellent patient service and communication skills, as well as a MFM Sonographer you must have a keen eyesight and attention to detail and have technical skills, as well as sound judgment and decision-making skills.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Creates a preliminary report for physician review/signature.
- →Reviews studies with physicians.
- →Assists physician with procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling.
- →Codes appropriate for services performed.
- →Maintains proper operation of the ultrasound equipment.
- →Recognizes equipment malfunctions and takes appropriate corrective action.
- →Maintains laundry for examination rooms.
- →Responsible for maintaining adequate inventory of ultrasound supplies.
- →Follows the accredited laboratory protocols for obtaining two-dimensional images, color flow, Doppler, and m-mode where applicable.
Requirements
~1 min read- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Graduate of an accredited sonography program with a degree in ultrasonography or equivalent.
- ARDMS OB/GYN certified or eligible
- Fetal echo certification or eligible to obtain with 12 months of hire. Fetal echo experience preferred or will be provided. Participates in staff development, in-service workshops, and educational activities. Participates in professional development activities and meetings.
- Completion of a program containing OB/GYN ultrasonography.
- CPR certification required.
- Satisfactory completion of one of the following; at least two (2) years in Allied Health Educational Program and one (1) year on-the-job- training in ultrasonography, or completion of an approved ultrasonography educational program.
- Maintain or be eligible for certification as an American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS).
- Must provide evidence of continuing education credits to fulfill accreditation requirements.
