  • Rounds and supports department to ensure engagement, maximize productivity, consistency, and accountability while identifying volunteer and hospital initiatives to achieve benchmarks through individual development plans, hospital visits, team meetings, and observations.
  • Evaluates and streamlines processes to reduce expenses and provide efficiency paths for the volunteer teams that meet regulatory standards and are consistent for all users.
  • Collaborates with volunteer services leadership to create reports for tracked metrics, maintaining accurate records and compliance for all areas of responsibility.
  • Coaches, counsels, and resolves conflicts and concerns, and takes corrective action per human resource guidelines when needed.
  • Collaborates with department leaders and volunteer leadership to create programming that supports and enhances the patient, visitor, or team member experience.
  • Identifies opportunities to partner with community organizations and schools to develop volunteer and intern pipelines that support volunteerism in the hospital.
  • Stays current on volunteer trends and participates in state and national organizations.
  • Maintains knowledge of regulatory requirements, laws, and policies as it pertains to volunteer service in the hospital setting.
  • Develops and submits for approval policies and standard operating procedures as needed.
  • Executes external volunteer recruitment strategy for the region, creating relationships and aligning hospital goals with community and educational partners' initiatives to create a pipeline of volunteers that deliver exceptional service.
  • Builds relationships with campus leadership and department leaders to develop and identify volunteer roles that meet hospital business needs and positively impact patient and team member experience.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders [Required]
  • Positive attitude and a team player with the ability to work independently, troubleshoot, and make sound decisions [Required]
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic computer skills [Required]

  • Knowledge and application/SharePoint/Teams/Zoom or other similar platforms [Preferred]
  • Knowledge of tracking software and Cbord [Preferred]
  • Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Hindi [Preferred]
  • Bachelor's [Preferred]
  • 3+ experience working in volunteer services, human resources, healthcare or related field [Required]
  • 1+ experience in a leadership or management role [Required]
  • Certified Administrator of Volunteer Services (CAVS) [Preferred]
