• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Assists in regulatory surveys and legal investigations, including patient complaint surveys and compliance with CMS reporting requirements.
• Manages the internal event report system, ensuring compliance with relevant statutes and timely reporting of adverse events.
• Reviews reported events for data completeness and accuracy, initiating follow-up with appropriate Directors and Managers within three days.
• Identifies, investigates, and reports on Sentinel Events/Never Events, facilitating Root Cause Analyses. Participates in the facility process for Disclosure of Unanticipated Outcomes.

• Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in either written form or electronic/magnetic recording [Required]
• Speaking skills: Talking to others to effectively convey information [Required]
• Social perceptiveness: Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react the way they do [Required]
• Reading comprehension: Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents [Required]
• Critical thinking: Using logic and analysis to identify the strengths and weaknesses of different approaches [Required]
• Active Listening: Listening to what other people are saying and asking questions as appropriate [Required]
• Writing: Communicating effectively with others in writing as indicated by the needs of the audience [Required]

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

• 2+ years experience in health care risk management which includes claims management/litigation prevention [Preferred]
• 3+ years clinical experience in healthcare related field [Required]
• Experience in process improvement/patient safety [Preferred]

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) [Preferred] 
• Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) [Preferred]
