Founded in 2015 in Bend, Oregon, Adventure Medics is a private EMS company providing emergency and critical care ambulance transport, event medical services, wildland fire medical and rescue support, industrial medical standby, and EMS training across Oregon, Washington, and Arizona. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The General Human Resource Specialist supports the day-to-day execution of key human resource programs including recruiting, onboarding, employee record management, benefits administration, payroll assistance, and policy compliance. The role works with employees, divisional managers, and executive leadership.
The following list contains the core roles and responsibilities of the Human Resource Specialist
• Preparing job postings, assist with candidate screening, and setting up interviews with divisional managers
• Complete orientation and onboarding/offboarding of employees
• Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and guidelines
• Oversee benefits administration, education, and yearly renewals
• Ensure company is in compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws across multiple locations
• Assist bookkeeper with biweekly payroll
• Oversee retirement plans, contributions, and renewals
• Support all aspects of employee relations including conflict resolution, procedure, mediation, and grievances
• Maintain employer kudos and similar moral boosting programs
• Ensure completion of all reporting required for employees both federal, state, and local
• Maintain all employee records
• Manage workman's comp claims, renewals, and reporting
Skills and Requirements:
• Excellent communication skills
• Problem solving
• Strong organizational skills and time management
• Previous experience working with Rippling or other HRIS platform preferred
• Operational awareness and sound judgement
