The Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive, highly organized, and detail-oriented individual to join us as People Operations & Office Support in De Waterkant, Cape Town. This is an in office role on a fixed term contract for approximately 10 months. We’re seeking a people’s person who engages with our team to understand their needs and ensure our work environment is a happy, productive place to be. Working closely with the Head of People, you will be responsible for supporting various HR Operations, ensuring our office runs smoothly and project managing several "once-off" initiatives designed to revamp our workspace and make Aerobotics an even greater place to work.
What You'll Do
Ongoing Responsibilities
- Support HR Operations such as Onboarding, Performance Management, Probation Tracking, BambooHR administration, and more,
- People support: You’ll be the eyes & ears on the ground, listening to employee needs & feeding back to the HOP
- Manage the office on a day-to-day basis from being our front of house, managing deliveries and suppliers, and overseeing our office cleaner. You’ll also be expected to streamline office management processes
- Compile People and Office related internal communications
- Arrange logistics for company events, team lunches and celebrations
Once off Initiatives
- Office Revamp: Project manage our exciting office revamp by coordinating suppliers, sourcing interiors and equipment, and ensuring everything runs smoothly
- Review our health & safety compliance & implement improvements
- Set up an efficient, sustainable recycling initiative
- Review office costs & provide proposals on how to optimize
What You'll Need
- At least 2 years work experience in HR or Facilities Management in a startup or scaleup environment
- Demonstrated examples of project management and organisation skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Top class service delivery & customer centric attitude
- Proficiency in Google suite
- Ability to be in the office Mondays to Fridays
- Valid work permit for South Africa
