Responsibilities
~1 min read- Lead and grow AgAmerica’s national sales organization.
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to accelerate agricultural mortgage originations, prioritizing geographies, commodities, and client profiles based on value proposition.
- Recruit, develop, and retain top-performing sales talent. Mentor future sales leaders
through active coaching. - Design organizational structure, market segmentation, and incentive compensation to
achieve defined performance outcomes. - Identify new product opportunities.
- Foster a culture of professionalism, entrepreneurship, and accountability.
- Collaborate with marketing to promote the brand and enhance market penetration.
- Represent AgAmerica across external channels. Seek and encourage active
engagement with leaders throughout the industry. - Build strategic relationships with key stakeholders and influencers including
correspondent lenders, advisors, brokers, farm managers, trade associations, financial
institutions, attorneys, and accountants, among others. - Expand referral-based origination channels across the agricultural ecosystem to complement direct outside sales efforts.
- Standardize sales architecture utilizing best practices and repeatable processes.
- Infuse CRM utilization, pipeline management, and reporting frameworks into the
team’s day-to-day operating rhythms to enable data-informed feedback loops. - Drive team accountability and cross-functional awareness through KPI dashboards.
- Benchmark sales activity metrics, conversion rates, and referral source throughput.
- Breed a culture of measurement, testing, and continuous improvement.
- Partner closely with lending, credit, closing, and servicing teams to support positive
client, capital, and stakeholder outcomes throughout the loan life cycle. - Promote a culture that values both production and portfolio quality.
- Guide and reinforce a strong understanding of credit underwriting, structuring, and risk-based pricing across the team.
- Ensure that profitability and growth outcomes are built on a foundation of disciplined
risk management and sustainable investment results.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in mortgage lending,
agricultural finance, banking, or related financial services. - Strong credit background with the ability to evaluate loan structures, underwriting considerations, and credit risk.
- Demonstrated experience building and scaling geographically distributed teams.
- Proven history of recruiting, developing, and retaining top sales talent.
- Significant experience implementing sales processes and KPI-driven management.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a high-growth, performance-oriented environment.
- Alignment with the mission: to understand the American farmer, to provide innovative
financial solutions, and to act as a guidepost in a changing agricultural landscape.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Travel may be required.
