To ensure the integrity, consistency, and accuracy of the operational data flow within SAP. This role manages the end-to-end lifecycle of production and subcontracting orders, ensuring that resource consumption and product receipts accurately reflect shop floor reality to support reliable cost analysis and global process standardization.

Responsibilities

  •  Execute the opening, material consumption (backflushing/manual), co-product recording, and technical closure (TECO) of production orders.
  •  Perform continuous audits of internal processes and system data to eliminate inventory discrepancies and misallocations.
  •  Monitor and maintain production master data, including Bills of Materials (BOM), Routings, and Production Versions (linking BOMs to Routings).
  •  Manage subcontracting orders from end to end, ensuring correct material flow to and from third-party vendors.
  •  Develop and distribute comprehensive reports on Yield, consumption trends, and stock levels to support management decision-making.
  •  Ensure the construction and definition of financial-operational reports, generating a solid basis for business control (explaining bridges between theoretical vs. actual consumption).
  •  Analyze the integrity of the current ERP (SAP S/4HANA), challenging the status quo and plant-level inputs to achieve "best-in-class" data accuracy.
  •  Implement standard reporting (STD) across all regions to enable agile consolidation for the Global Controller and Executive Committee.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

  • No direct supervisory responsibilities.

 

  •  Critical analysis and a procedural mindset.
  •  Data quality focus and commitment to Continuous Improvement (CI).
  •  Agility with spreadsheets and numerical analysis.
  •  Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with both shop floor and plant stakeholders.
  •  Advanced Microsoft Excel (Advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, Data Management).
  •  SAP S/4HANA (PP/MM modules).
  •  Understanding of Production Order management.
  •  Experience in Batch Management (creating batches and batch characteristics).
  •  Knowledge of Inbound Deliveries and Subcontracting processes.
  •  Ability to manage large datasets with procedural thinking and accuracy.
  •  Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) requirements.

 

  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in production control, inventory management, or SAP-related operational roles.
  • High School Diploma (Required).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Accounting, or related fields (desirable).

  • Ability to work in a plant/manufacturing environment as needed.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods of time.

The approximate pay range in Illinois for this position is $21.54 to $26.92 an hour.  Performance-based incentives are available based on individual and company achievements.  Final compensation for a candidate is commensurate with experience, skills, and education.
