As the Surgical Vision Suite Manager, you will be responsible for promoting Alcon Vision Suite across Denmark and Norway, selling Alcon’s visualization and diagnostic portfolio. Through consistent engagement and relationship-building with customers, you'll drive sales to meet targets. Additionally, you'll showcase expertise in demonstrating advanced surgical equipment, adeptly troubleshoot issues, and actively pursue opportunities within the Ophthalmology market.

Responsibilities

In this role, a typical day can include:

  • Total Alcon sales performance in the territory:
  • Diagnostics portfolio: Argos, Verion and next generation devices
  • Visualization portfolio: Luxor Revalia, Ngenuity and next generation devices
  • Customer profiles & segmentation: in phase 1 focus is on private Partner & Grow accounts in AT segmentation. In phase 2 focus will be to explore in Cataract Partner for Diagnostics/Visualization, VitRet Partner/Grow for Visualization mainly. Focus is also on selected accounts outside the abovementioned segmentation based on opportunities identified.
  • Gaining sales and market share across Alcon’s digital visualization, microscopy and diagnostic portfolio across your assigned Territory.
  • Proactive collaboration with IOL Manager, Account Managers, Surgical Equipment Managers, Vitreoretinal Managers and other sales specialist roles: identifying potential targets and new customers.
  • Being the key end-to-end specialist contact for visualization and diagnostic systems.
  • Surgical Visualization and diagnostic equipment promotion, demoing and training to HCPs in the OR (Operating room) and Clinic in collaboration with Digital Connectivity Champions (DCC)
  • Driving equipment penetration and upgrades according to the account plan in SalesForce
  • Consistently acting in accordance with SOPs and medical device regulatory environment.
  • You will be responsible for creating initial quotes on your portfolio, except for EFAs and leases. Quote will then be handed over to Account Manager for closing the deal.
  • Following & report on competitor activities. Map competitive devices and digital platforms & services in your accounts.

  • Background within ophthalmology.
  • Knowledge in connectivity and digitalization of the Clinic & OR. Working knowledge of visualization, digital diagnostics & workflow, and ability to message on connectivity.
  • Strong proactive and hunter mindset, with an ability to collaborate with other Alcon reps to generate leads.
  • Highly self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership of their territory as if it were their own business.
  • Ability to run demos with the support of Technical Service and CAS.
  • Ability to provide deals with various equipment, IOLs & services (EFAs, rentals).
  • Sales experience in an operating theatre setting working with capital equipment – essential.
  • Experience working with Private sector, networking and relationship building with both Clinical & Non-Clinical KOL’s – essential.
  • Microscopy and/or Audiovisuals and diagnostic experience - preferred.
  • Strong collaboration skills working with cross functional teams and matrix organization.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve individual and team targets through lead generation and sharing best practice.
  • Excellent communication skills, both technically and interpersonally.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity & Learning agility.

  • University degree qualification or equivalent.

Minimum 5 years of experience in medical devices &/or within a surgical environment – preferably within ophthalmology.
