The Senior Manager, Talent and Performance Platforms is responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously evolving the systems, processes, and digital capabilities that enable Amgen's global Talent and Performance strategy. Working in close partnership with Talent Strategy, HR Technology, Digital, HR Business Partners, and other stakeholders, this role translates Talent and Performance philosophy into scalable, technology-enabled solutions that improve employee experience and drive business outcomes.

While contributing to the evolution of Amgen's Talent and Performance philosophy, this role's primary accountability is the successful design, implementation, optimization, and governance of the systems, platforms, and operating model that bring those strategies to life. This includes identifying opportunities to simplify work, improve user experience, leverage emerging technologies, and responsibly adopt AI-enabled capabilities that strengthen talent decisions and organizational effectiveness.

The Senior Manager provides strategic leadership for a Talent and Performance team based in India responsible for day-to-day execution. This role establishes the product roadmap, drives continuous innovation, ensures operational excellence, and enables the successful delivery of global Talent and Performance programs.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Talent Strategy leaders to translate Talent and Performance philosophies into scalable global processes, technology solutions, and employee experiences.
  • Contribute operational, technology, and user experience insights to support the ongoing evolution of Talent and Performance practices.
  • Ensure Talent and Performance solutions align with business priorities while delivering a consistent, high-quality global employee and manager experience.
  • Serve as the business product owner for Talent and Performance capabilities across Workday, Eightfold, AI-enabled solutions, and future Talent technologies.
  • Develop and maintain the strategic roadmap for Talent and Performance products, balancing business priorities, user needs, technology opportunities, and operational excellence.
  • Partner with HR Technology, Digital, and external vendors to design, configure, test, implement, and continuously enhance Talent solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to modernize Talent and Performance through automation, artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, and emerging technologies.
  • Evaluate new technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve employee experience, manager effectiveness, and organizational outcomes.
  • Ensure Talent platforms are scalable, intuitive, secure, and aligned with enterprise architecture and governance standards.
  • Lead the design, deployment, governance, and continuous improvement of global Talent and Performance processes, including Performance Management, Talent Reviews, Succession Planning, Talent Marketplace, and other strategic Talent capabilities.
  • Develop scalable operating models that enable global consistency while supporting evolving business needs.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives that improve process effectiveness, user adoption, and organizational outcomes.
  • Ensure successful execution of global Talent and Performance initiatives through effective planning, governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Provide strategic leadership to the India-based Talent and Performance leadership and team.
  • Establish priorities, operating rhythms, and performance expectations that align with enterprise objectives.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
  • Coach and develop leaders while building organizational capability to support future business needs.
  • Build trusted partnerships across HR Business Partners, Organizational Effectiveness, HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Learning, HR Technology, Digital, HR Analytics, and business leaders.
  • Influence enterprise decisions regarding Talent and Performance products, platforms, and user experience.
  • Lead communication, training, and change management efforts that support successful adoption of new capabilities and ways of working.
  • Define success measures and leverage workforce data to evaluate the effectiveness of Talent and Performance products and programs.
  • Partner with HR Analytics to generate actionable insights that inform product enhancements and strategic decisions.
  • Use employee feedback, system metrics, operational data, and external benchmarks to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Ensure Talent and Performance processes are scalable, compliant, and operationally efficient.
  • Establish governance, documentation, and quality standards that enable sustainable global execution.
  • Manage vendor relationships and external partners supporting Talent and Performance technologies and services, as appropriate.
