Also, you will have the opportunity to introduce yourself and tell us why you are interested in becoming an AMPP instructor by recording a 2-minute video. To do this, you will need access to a video camera on your PC or you can upload a pre-recorded video created from another device.

• 5 years' work experience in the Industrial Protective Coatings Industry
• Must be currently active in the industry (within past 12 months) or have at least 10 years' experience with blasting and painting operations
• Must have hands-on knowledge of the tools (spray application systems; coating materials)
• Hold one or more of the following certifications:
  • Protective Coating Specialist (PCS)
  • Certified Coating Inspector CIP Level 2/PCI Level 2)
  • CAS Full Status – Level II
  • Marine Plural Component (C14)

Must meet one of the following:

• High School Graduate/GED with an additional 10 years’ work experience
• 4 Year Diploma
• Professional Engineer
• Advanced Education (Master’s or PhD)

• Must have taken the course and passed any applicable exam.

• Must hold an active membership to apply.

• 3 references from a past supervisor, current or former colleague, and/or personal friend (non-relative). Names, email, and phone number of references must be entered on the application.

• Preference will be given to applicants with technical expertise and prior teaching experience.
