Mechanic

Location: DMV Metro Area & Eastern Shore

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Position Summary

Join Anchor Construction as a Mechanic! We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented professional to support inspect, repair, and maintain construction tolls and light equipment that support daily field operations. This position plays a essential role in ensuring equipment is safe, reliable, and readily available for our crews.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA, State regulations, and all safety policies and procedures
• Inspect, Diagnose, and repair small construction tools and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on gas-powered, electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic tools.
• Maintain service and repair records
• Support Fleet and Shop Mechanics as needed
• Track and manage tools inventory and replacement parts.
• Conduct safety inspections and equipment testing.
• Support field crews with troubleshooting equipment and repairs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe ship environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Hydraulic/Pneumatic certification highly preferred
• Experience repairing small engines, power tools, or construction equipment preferred
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Valid Driver's License preferred
• Commitment to workplace safety
