Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting multiple Cardiac Perfusionist to support the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Health Care System located at 4150 Clement Street, San Francisco, CA 94121. The work schedule is expected to be Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm with on call. If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers.

Responsibilities
  • Provide on‑site perfusion services for cardiac and cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including bypass and valve replacement surgeries
  • Operate and manage heart‑lung machines, ECMO, intra‑aortic balloon pumps, centrifugal ventricular assist devices, and autotransfusion equipment 
  • Maintain sterile environments and manage blood volume to prevent complications such as shock or air embolism 
  • Perform autotransfusion services, including setup, operation, breakdown of equipment, and documentation of transfused blood volumes
  • Review patient records in the VA Electronic Health Record (EHR) prior to procedures and document treatment plans and outcomes within required timeframes
  • Provide on‑call coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with required response times when medically indicated 
  • Accurately document all care in the VA EHR in accordance with VA policy and professional standards 
  • Complete required transfusion records (e.g., SF‑518 forms) and ensure proper record retention 
  • Participate in quality assurance, peer review, OPPE/FPPE, and quality improvement activities 
  • Comply with all VA privacy, HIPAA, infection control, and patient safety requirements
  • Maintain required credentials, certifications, and training throughout the contract period 
  • Participate in mandatory VA training (privacy, information security, workplace conduct, etc.) 
  • Coordinate coverage to ensure continuity of care, including providing qualified replacements when needed 
  • Submit required timekeeping, procedure logs, and performance reports as outlined in the contract
Qualifications
  • Active, full, and unrestricted license in any U.S. state or territory.
  • Board Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP).
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Perfusion Technology.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a perfusionist.
  • At least 1,000 documented clinical perfusion cases.
  • Demonstrated experience with:
    • Open‑heart surgery
    • Autotransfusion
    • Heart‑lung machines
    • ECMO
    • Intra‑aortic balloon pumps
    • Ventricular assist devices
  • Maintain active AHA BLS
  • No sponsorship available.
  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
