Anthos|Home is a nonprofit startup focused on creating a new way home for New Yorkers with housing vouchers. We streamline the apartment search, approval, and move-in process using technology to move people into stable housing faster. We believe every person deserves a place to blossom, and we’re building the tools, systems, and teams to make that possible.
At Anthos|Home, urgency drives our work because every day in shelter matters. We are focused on helping people move into stable housing as quickly as possible and continuously improving how we get there.
We are looking for team members who are highly data-oriented, tech-savvy, and comfortable learning new systems. Strong candidates value accuracy, use data to inform decisions, and actively improve how information is tracked and shared.
We value people who are thoughtful, adaptable, and detail-oriented, and who follow through, communicate openly, and take ownership of their work. How effectively we use data and technology directly impacts how quickly people get home.
The Director of Communications will report directly to the CEO and develop, maintain, and execute AnthoslHome's organization-wide communications strategy and manage all internal and external communications at a critical moment in the organization's growth. This role presents the rare opportunity to shape the public voice of one of New York City's most innovative housing nonprofits - defining how we tell the story of our organization and the system we're working to change.
The Director of Communications builds and stewards the organization's brand, leads day-to-day content creation and engagement across channels, and ensures consistent voice and messaging across every audience the organization reaches. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director of Communications works in close collaboration with the Vice President of Development and Chief of Staff. The Director of Communications will also receive support from the Executive Associate.
The ideal candidate is a strategic, hands-on communicator who pairs strong editorial judgment with deep storytelling instincts and a track record of translating programmatic and policy work into compelling content. They thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, take ownership across both strategy and execution, and are energized by the chance to build the communications infrastructure that will elevate the essential work of AnthoslHome.
