Technical Writer

Job Description We are looking for a Technical Writer in Finland for our Technical Publication team, who will develop clear technical procedures / manuals with concise information/content for our customer and our service teams. What’s in it for you? You will become part of an international team of Technical Writers, collaborating with colleagues and subject matter experts across different regions to develop high-quality technical documentation. You will work closely with Technical Writers, internal business partners, and tool experts to create clear and effective technical content. In this role, you will contribute to content management initiatives, process improvements, and quality governance activities, while independently managing multiple projects and expanding your expertise in technical communication within a global environment. Key Responsibilities * Under general supervision, may develop, write, and edit material for system manuals, operation instructions, etc. * Under general supervision, may observe production, developmental and experimental activities to determine operating procedure and detail. * Under general supervision, may interview production and engineering personnel to become familiar with product technologies and production methods - including interacting with engineering, Global Product Support (GPS) and Applied Global Services (AGS) to develop and update documentation. * Under general supervision, may study blueprints, sketches, drawings, part lists, specifications, mock ups and product samples to integrate a delineate technology, operating procedure, production sequence and detail. This also includes control tasks to ensure that technical documentation is reviewed on time. * Under general supervision, may review published materials and recommends revisions or changes in scope, format, content and methods or reproduction and binding. * Drive suppliers to deliver documentation on time. Requirements * Proficient in technical publication software: * DITA XML: Oxygen Editor OR Similar applications * Content Management System (CMS): SDL Tridion Docs * Graphical: Illustrator, Photoshop, Inkscape, Notepad++ * Adobe Suite: Acrobat Pro DC. * MS Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook * Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. * Ability to work in a cross-functional organization and multitask on multiple projects. * Must be a quick learner, self-starter, with strong attention to details and can work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, high-tech environment. * Requires working both with European, USA and Asia based Teams. * May require 20% international travel. * Demonstrates expanded conceptual knowledge in own discipline and broadens capabilities Problem Solving * Solves problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions using technical experience and judgment and precedents Impact * Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team; works within guidelines and policies Interpersonal Skills * Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations * Excellent interpersonal communication skills ## Qualifications ### Education: Bachelor's Degree ### Skills ### Certifications: ### Languages: ### Years of Experience: 2 - 4 Years ### Work Experience: ## Additional Information ### ### Shift: Regular Work (Finland) ### ### Travel: Yes, 10% of the Time ### ### Relocation Eligible: No ### Referral Payment Plan: Employee Referral (Standard) Salary Range: €0,00 - €0,00 The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
