The Claims Vendor Team Administrator will support the Claims Vendor Manager, Claims Vendor Team and wider Claims Operations Team in the administrative tasks relating to the procurement and monitoring of appropriate vendors for our London Market and Regional claims teams.  Vendors will include third party administrators, coverholders and medical assistance companies.

 

Responsibilities

The post holder would have responsibility for the following aspects and may also take part in varied projects:


·       Requesting and gathering evidence to support due diligence exercises.

·       Working with other teams in the organisation to co-ordinate their review of due diligence materials.

·       Evidencing due diligence and ongoing governance activity through data entry onto various databases.

 

·       Gathering and recording evidence to monitor vendor performance against agreed service levels.

·       Obtaining and recording feedback on the performance of vendors from our claims teams.

·       Assisting the Claims Vendor Team in ensuring compliance with all regulatory and internal control requirements relating to claims handling and the management of third party outsourcing arrangements.

·       Ensuring that all data gathered has been correctly and appropriately recorded in the various systems or spreadsheets as appropriate.

·       Supporting the Claims Operations Team by assisting with the administrative tasks generated as a result of the TPA audit program.

·       Checking that correct evidence is being gathered and stored.

·       Liaising with various auditors to provide evidence.

 

·       Involved in the general delivery of the team's business goals and objectives.

·       Involvement with ad-hoc projects which relate to vendor management or associated activities.

·       Assist with enhancing the Arch brand.

 

  • Taking minutes at internal and external meetings, and coordinating the completion of actions
  • Supporting the Claims Vendor Manager & Claims Operations Manager in any ad-hoc tasks when required

  

Requirements

·       Good passes in Maths and English at GCSE level

·       A-levels desirable but not essential


·       Detail orientated

·       Critical thinking skills

·       Flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements and the possibility of longer hours being required at certain times

·       Working as part of a focussed and wider teams across the function

·       Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

·       Must be results and service focussed

·       Ability to multi-task and be highly organised

·       Computer literate and numerate with intermediate Excel and Word skills

·       Proven ability to prioritise and strong organisational skills

·       Ability to work autonomously and use initiative

·       Relationship management skills

·       Customer focus

·       Proactive approach to problem solving and decision making

·       Team player


  • Previous experience supporting a team and within an office environment
  • Data entry using various systems
  • Experience within insurance, and specifically a Lloyd’s managing agency, is a definite benefit
  • Good understanding of the claims handling process is advantageous
