As a Payroll Specialist - USA, you are responsible for the accurate and timely processing of weekly U.S. payroll, as well as supporting the bi-weekly U.S. payroll cycle. Your strong attention to detail and administrative expertise will ensure our people are consistently paid correctly, and on time. You provide valuable resources for employees, providing guidance on payroll and benefits related topics.
This role is primarily based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

We are a team of payroll experts, dedicated to ensuring the effective processing of our payroll, taxable benefits and benefit deductions. We are committed to creating an exceptional employee experience by acting as trusted advisors on payroll and benefit calculations. We ensure our people are consistently paid accurately and on-time. 
  • Processing full cycle weekly payroll for U.S hourly employees, ensuring accurate and timely payment
  • Providing backup support for the U.S salaried bi-weekly payroll as needed   
  • Ensuring taxable benefits, benefit deductions, and 401K plans are accurately set up and maintained
  • Preparing payroll related journal entries
  • Preparing year end reporting, reconciliations, and W-2 preparation
  • Supporting internal and external audit requests
  • Maintaining and updating accurate employee data within our payroll systems
  • Collaborating with peers and cross-functional teams to deliver timely and accurate responses to employee inquiries
  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Generating reports to verify appropriate deductions and remittances
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline payroll operations
  • Maintaining e-fillings and payroll records
  • Supporting the Senior Payroll Manager with additional projects as assigned
  • Implementing software solutions to automate repetitive tasks and enhance efficiency
  • Assisting with payroll system integrations to streamline data management and optimize workflows
  • Supporting with Time and Attendance and Pay Group enhancements
  • You have 3+ years of experience in U.S. payroll
  • You have strong organizational, time management and communication skills
  • You are adaptable, flexible, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • You have a customer service mindset
  • You handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • You are a collaborative team player who works effectively across departments
  • You demonstrate curiosity, a willingness to try new approaches, and a strong commitment to following through
  • You proactively identify root causes, pursue thoughtful solutions, and are committed to doing right
  • You champion innovation and continuous improvement
