As the Product Integrity Specialist 2, you play a pivotal role in safeguarding Arc’teryx brand integrity by upholding global standards for product construction, manufacturing best practices, and quality protocols across all product categories and production locations. You contribute to formulating recommendations on guidelines and procedures with regards to product Integrity. You will help to ensure the Arc’teryx brand integrity through global maintenance of product construction standards, best production practices and quality standards across all product categories and locations of manufacture.
You will develop and/or upgrade the processes and standards for ensuring and controlling the approval of the technical packages, construction, specification and quality of new models, and ongoing quality issue management.
You sustain relationships with vendors, internal teams and remote Liaison Quality teams.
This role is primarily based out of our Hong Kong office and requires in-person attendance. Candidates must be eligible to work in Hong Kong.
The Product Integrity team is part of the Quality & Compliance department and is responsible for ensuring that all products are constructed in accordance with Arc’teryx quality standards. We safeguard brand product integrity through establishing best practices and ensure stringent adherence to specification and construction methods. We secure bulk readiness and support growth plans with existing and new vendors by providing guidance on both current application and new methods of handling product and material processes. Our passion brings design to life and maintains our brand integrity.
- Partnering with Design, Product Development and HKO commercialization teams during the Maker’s Phase (especially for products developed for Tokyo creation centre office) to provide technical feedback and ensure products meet Arc’teryx standards.
- Offering expertise on performance-driven outdoors / urban fashion lines that combine high-performance materials and advanced construction methods.
- Attending design initiations meetings for all new models, prototype reviews, buy-ready signoffs, and seasonal meetings to advise on new models, constructions, and materials.
- Contributing to the development of climate-control layering systems adaptable to diverse conditions, across a range from accessories to insulated outerwear.
- Collaborating with Design and HKO Product Development to create products featuring advanced construction details such as fully taped seams, adjustable stow hood that can be concealed within the collar, discreet pockets with hidden zippers, and laminated cuffs and hems for a clean finish and added weather protection etc.
- Providing expert-level technical guidance on construction methods and quality standards for all product categories.
- Collaborating with TCC Product development and HKO commercialization team on FG testing requirements and quality standards. Review test reports, and physical samples of new and transition models.
- Providing technical guidance to suppliers and labs on brand standards, testing, and quality requirements in partnership with cross-functional teams.
- Collaborating with Technical team in Head office on reviewing and updating protocols for all products and critical-to-quality operations to enhance quality manuals, specification manuals, and tutorials.
- Maintaining regular communication with Asia Quality team, and vendors to ensure protocols are understood and followed.
- Collaborating closely with HK commercialization and Quality teams in North Vancouver and Asia throughout the I2C process until pre-production sample approval.
- Reviewing tech packs and construction elements for accuracy and design-for-manufacturing (DFM), focusing on sampling challenges for new and transition models.
- Conducting seasonal technical quality reviews (TQR) of prototypes and samples.
- Approving sealed samples at size set stage for bulk production.
- Preparing CTQ instructions for new models and leading seasonal handover meetings to educate QC teams.
- Performing risk assessments and oversee high-risk models from development through bulk production.
- Overseeing preventive actions such as pilot runs and TOP for high-risk models.
- Support onboarding programs for new vendors and contribute to sourcing exploration and qualification assessments.
- Building and supporting in achieving departmental KPIs and objectives.
