About the Role
~1 min readThis is a fantastic opportunity for a safety‑minded industrial cleaning professional to join Artifex Interior Systems as an Industrial Cleaning Technician. Based at our Elmdon plant, you’ll help keep critical production areas clean, compliant, and running at their best.
Working nights across a 36‑hour week (three 12‑hour shifts Friday–Sunday), you’ll carry out planned and reactive cleaning and filter changes that protect air quality, equipment performance, and colleague wellbeing.
You’ll join a supportive site team, use modern equipment and approved chemicals, and receive the training and PPE you need to work safely and efficiently. If you thrive in practical, hands‑on work where standards and teamwork matter, this role offers real impact and visible results every shift.
Responsibilities
~1 min readYou’ll take ownership of planned and reactive cleaning across production lines, ducting and extraction systems, using industrial vacuums and safe methods to remove dust and contaminants and return assets to service promptly. You’ll replace air, dust‑extraction and process filters, check housings for damage, fit the correct specification, and record all activity so maintenance history stays accurate.
You’ll work within RAMS and permit‑to‑work controls, apply lockout/tagout, choose the right PPE, and keep work areas clear and orderly. You’ll plan your nights to meet KPIs for timeliness, zero incidents and quality, communicate clearly with operations and maintenance, and raise hazards or defects early so they can be resolved.
You have experience in industrial environments such as manufacturing, engineering, or facilities, with strong health and safety awareness. You’re comfortable with manual handling, working at height and confined‑space awareness, and you can use hand tools and access equipment confidently. You take pride in tidy work and accurate documentation.
Knowledge of filtration systems, COSHH and permit‑to‑work processes is a plus, as is any basic maintenance training. You’re a team player with a steady approach and an eye for detail.
If you’re a reliable, detail‑focused professional who enjoys keeping people safe and equipment performing at its best, we’d love to hear from you.
