Responsible for assisting with the assembling, disassembling and operation of stage equipment during event production.

Responsibilities

  • Set up lighting, props, and microphones.
  • Assist during Load-In, Show, and Load-Out Calls for the assembly and disassembly of show productions.
  • Load and unload Trucks
  • Assemble production equipment on stage.
  • Construction of set pieces, risers, musical equipment
  • Spotlight operation during shows for qualified personnel
  • Assist with video, sound, and light production before, during and after shows for qualified personnel.
  • Move furniture, road cases, miscellaneous equipment.
  • Maintain a safe and professional work environment at all times.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of all equipment, from both venue and events.
  • Be punctual at start times/dates for all assigned and accepted calls; and work until the completion of each call.
  • Stand ready to assist the venue Production and Operations departments to meet changing venue needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
  • Report to the Union Steward upon arrival to work for an event.

General knowledge and experience in proper handling of all components of theatrical and entertainment tools, equipment, and systems.

Walk/stand extensively, kneel, climb to high walkways, balance, and maneuver throughout the various areas and surfaces of the venue.

Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or occasionally more with assistance.

Work inside and outside the building is required, may have some exposure to adverse conditions.

Must be able to use a two-way radio.

Work flexible hours, including nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

The position is a referent of ITASE Local 158 union and is subject to pay referral fee and dues directed by the ITASE Local 158 and the work referral system in effect.

This is an hourly position that will be subject to collectively bargained union rules.
