Broadleaf LLC is actively seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to support our customer, the Agricultural Research Service (ARS). The selected candidate will play a key role in implementing and advancing a tactical Enterprise Architecture (EA) program that enables agency executives, business owners, and IT leaders to make informed technology decisions aligned with the agency's mission and strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities Serve as an Enterprise Architecture (EA) Subject Matter Expert (SME), ensuring IT capabilities effectively support the agency's mission and business objectives. Support ad hoc, quarterly, and annual Enterprise Architecture reviews. Develop and deliver training on Enterprise Architecture processes and create guidance documentation to help stakeholders understand and fulfill their roles within the ARS Governance Framework and IT-enabled business investment processes. Participate in and support project gate reviews from an Enterprise Architecture perspective. Provide architecture design support and recommendations for new and existing technology initiatives. Maintain Enterprise Architecture artifacts, repositories, and documentation. Analyze IT portfolios to identify redundancies, modernization opportunities, and operational efficiencies. Ensure compliance with Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and USDA Enterprise Architecture policies, standards, and procedures. Collaborate closely with the Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) team to ensure alignment across governance and investment management functions. Map business capabilities and technology systems to agency strategic goals, objectives, and mission priorities. Support continuous improvement of Enterprise Architecture governance, standards, and best practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered. Minimum of seven (7) years of experience providing Enterprise Architecture support to a federal government customer. Experience with Technology Business Management (TBM) cost mapping. Experience maintaining Enterprise Architecture artifacts and repositories. Demonstrated experience analyzing IT portfolios to identify redundancies and opportunities for modernization and efficiency. Experience ensuring compliance with OMB and USDA Enterprise Architecture policies and procedures. Ability to collaborate effectively with CPIC teams and cross-functional stakeholders. Experience mapping business capabilities and systems to organizational strategic goals and objectives. Extensive experience with Enterprise Architecture tools and repositories. Required Certification One or more of the following Enterprise Architecture certifications: TOGAF® Open CA SAFe® Architect Or an equivalent Enterprise Architecture certification Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Experience with business process mapping and business case development. Knowledge of the Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) framework. Experience working within federal IT governance and investment review processes.
