Chief Philanthropy Officer & Executive Director of the Foundation

The Chief Philanthropy Officer & Executive Director serves as the senior executive responsible for leading Augusta Health's comprehensive philanthropy program and the Augusta Health Foundation. As a member of the Senior Executive Council, this executive develops and executes an enterprise-wide philanthropic strategy aligned with the health system's mission and strategic priorities. The role provides leadership for fundraising, major and principal gifts, planned giving, grants, stewardship, Foundation operations, governance, and community engagement while partnering with the COO, CEO, Foundation Board, physicians, and executive leaders. Works closely with the President & CEO to cultivate, solicit, and steward transformational philanthropic opportunities and major donor relationships.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Healthcare Administration, Nonprofit Management, Communications, Public Administration, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive executive leadership in healthcare philanthropy or a comparable nonprofit foundation.
• Demonstrated success leading comprehensive fundraising including major gifts, principal gifts, campaigns, planned giving, grants, and stewardship.
• Successful collaboration with governing boards, physicians, executive leaders, and community stakeholders.
• Proven success securing six-, seven-, and transformational gifts.

• Master's degree (MBA, MHA, MPA, Nonprofit Leadership, or related discipline).
• CFRE, FAHP, or comparable professional credential.
