About This Position
Austin Housing is seeking a Business Process Specialist to support the Long-Term Affordability Team. This division supports affordable home ownership for the City of Austin by helping residents navigate the homebuying and ownership experience. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience improving processes, the ability to maintain and implement accurate and up to date digital systems, and a passion for creating and enhancing tools for greater customer accessibility. We’re looking for a solutions-oriented professional with resourceful problem-solving skills to work with both internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Experience maintaining or updating internal systems, websites, or program webpages including proficiency with digital tools used for communication, project coordination, or data management (for example: CMS platforms, survey tools, presentation tools, CRM systems, or shared document platforms).
- →Demonstrated ability to create digital materials such as online classes, presentations, templates, or communication tools for program participants.
- →Experience working with data teams and marketing/communications professionals, developing program assets, public facing materials, responding to data or information requests, aggregating survey responses, and preparing information for policy recommendations.
- →Experience supporting or implementing process improvements within a program or team structure.
- →Ability to translate complex program information into accessible, community‑friendly materials.
- →Experience engaging directly with homeowners, homebuyers, or community members in program, outreach, or service‑delivery settings.
- →Prior work in affordable housing, homeownership programs, community development, or related social service fields

This position is considered FLSA Exempt. Exempt employees are salaried and, except as provided, are not eligible for overtime compensation.
