What We Offer

~1 min read

In a busy acute setting, it’s easy to feel like you’re moving patients through a system rather than caring for people. Aged care is different — and BaptistCare is different again.

At our residential aged care home in Lalor, you’ll know your residents by name, build genuine relationships, and have the time and support to deliver care the way it should be done. If you’re looking for a role where your clinical skills and your values are equally valued, this is it.

  • Competitive pay: $41.94–$44.42 per hour, plus not-for-profit (NFP) salary packaging benefits of up to $18,550.
  • 6-month part-time fixed-term contract: A great opportunity to contribute your nursing skills in a supportive residential aged care environment.
  • Consistent shift options: Morning shifts from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm or afternoon shifts from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
  • Flexible days: Shifts are available Monday to Sunday, including weekends.
  • Supportive team: Work alongside a dedicated care team committed to delivering quality, person-centred care.
  • Professional development: Access training and opportunities to develop your clinical skills.
  • Wellbeing support: Access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

As an Enrolled Nurse at BaptistCare Wattle Grove, you’ll provide safe, high-quality, person-centred clinical care while leading and supporting the care team around you. This is a role with real clinical responsibility and real human connection.

  • Deliver safe, high-quality clinical care that keeps residents’ health, wellbeing, and dignity at the centre
  • Lead and support care staff, ensuring practice is within scope and standards are upheld
  • Maintain clear, respectful communication with residents, families, and colleagues
  • Ensure safe and compliant medication management
  • Contribute actively to continuous improvement and clinical governance
  • Maintain your own professional development and currency within your scope of practice

You don’t need a long history in aged care to thrive here — you need solid clinical foundations, a person-centred mindset, and the drive to lead well.

  • Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse.
  • Experience in aged care or with elderly people (highly desirable but not essential)
  • Confident in clinical environments
  • Strong communicator — clear, respectful, and consistent with residents, families, and staff
  • Comfortable with basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Proof of working rights in Australia

BaptistCare is a leading purpose-led care organisation, guided by our Christian identity and serving people and communities across Australia for more than 110 years. We support people to live better through aged care, home care, retirement living, community services, disability support and housing.

We know that life’s challenges can make our world feel smaller. With the right people alongside us, it can feel more connected, supported and hopeful again.

That’s what we work towards every day - enriching lives through communities of care. Today, more than 70,000 customers, 12,000 employees and close to 2,000 volunteers are part of our communities across Australia.
