This position is in support of US Southern Command under the Enhanced Domain Awareness contract.  Our team shall refine the processes, technology, infrastructure, and personnel necessary to transition EDA into a scalable, distributed intelligence ecosystem. Leveraging the existing EDA infrastructure, this effort enhances cyber security, structured governance, metadata lineage, and data transformation capabilities of the command.

 

The Business Process Engineer is responsible for analyzing, designing, improving, and implementing business processes to increase operational efficiency, reduce costs, and support organizational goals. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to identify workflow inefficiencies, develop process improvement strategies, and implement solutions using data analysis, process mapping, and continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma. The Business Process Engineer also documents standard operating procedures, supports change management initiatives, monitors process performance metrics, and ensures compliance with company policies and industry standards. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for driving process optimization and organizational success.

NOTE: This position is contingent upon award of contract, expected in the next 30-60 days.

    • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
    • Ability to identify process inefficiencies and recommend solutions
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Understanding of workflow automation and business systems
    • Data analysis and reporting capabilities
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
    • Project management and change management knowledge
    • Ability to document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workflows
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in business process improvement, process engineering, or operational excellence roles
  • Experience using process mapping, workflow analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma
  • Proven ability to analyze business operations, identify inefficiencies, and implement process improvement solutions
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with business process management tools, data analysis, and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Information Systems, Management, or a related field or minimum of five (5) years of equivalent experience business process analysis and design.
